One of my most important jobs, when it comes to educating my students, is to make sure they know they are capable! We work hard at the beginning of each year to establish a growth mindset.
"My teacher thought I could, so I did".
It's important for my students to believe they can and if they struggle, it's because they can't do it YET, but they will!
My students come to school each day ready and eager to learn. They come from a variety of experiences and it's important to me that each child has the resources they need to succeed.
My Project
We will use this chart stand in multiple ways. We will use it for interactive writing - where the children learn to be writers together. We will use it for its pocket chart space - where children work on their reading fluency, with our weekly poem and complete hands on word work activities.
This chart stand will change the way we do work together.
Young children learn through modeling and having the appropriate space in which to do so makes such a difference.
This isn't just another piece of furniture . This chart stand is an item that will be used everyday in our classroom.
