My Project
My students are enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn. They thrive when they have opportunities to work together, share ideas, and take ownership of their learning. One tool that makes this possible in every subject we study—English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies—is simple but powerful: chart paper.
Chart paper helps turn our classroom into a dynamic learning space.
It allows students to collaborate in small groups, brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and create visual presentations of their thinking. Whether they’re crafting character maps during reading, organizing facts in social studies, working through multi-step math problems, or recording observations in science experiments, chart paper gives them a large, visible space to explore and communicate their learning.
These student-created charts are then displayed around the classroom so we can refer back to our thinking, celebrate our work, and build on ideas together. This not only reinforces understanding but also gives students pride in their contributions.
