My Students

My school is a school like no other place. For the past three years, I had the honor of teaching here. I now have the honor as serving as the school's interim principal. Our students are creative, innovative, and passionate for learning.

Our school follows a project-based curriculum, which provides students with the opportunity to study content more in-depth.

Students are consistently going above and beyond. When tasked with leading a project, they find ways to take the project to the next level. A travel brochure designed to help students study geography could lead to students comparing flight costs online and not only creating a travel brochure that showcases their geographic knowledge of a region, but also includes comprehensive travel packages. As a school, we truly take pride in personalizing instruction for all students.

However, while the inside of our building is home to magnificent learning opportunities, the outside of our building has room to grow. The school grounds have become overran with weeds. This year, students will have the opportunity to take charge and lead a project to beautify our school grounds.

My Project

For years, my school has taken pride on our project-based curriculum. However, while greats things happened inside the school's interior, the school's exterior did not reflect the great things happening inside the building.

The school beautification project gives students a chance to spearhead the improvement of the school's exterior.

The supplies asked for here are just the beginning. Middle school students will design a school garden and school mural, which allows those who drive by to see how wonderful the school is. The long-term vision is to transform the outside into an outside interactive classroom. The school would have benches for students to sit on, an outside classroom for students to learn in, and a mural of a mountain lion, the school mascot, which welcomes families and students to the school.
