Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My physics students are curious and interested in our world. They are an incredibly diverse group from around the world. Many speak other languages, yet all come together to learn. Regardless of their culture, all families want their children to learn everything they can and prepare for a successful future.
Like most students today, they infuse technology into all of their activities.
Having access every day helps them learn about physics. Science classes are great for allowing all students to integrate technology into learning concepts.
My Project
Physics students get a formula sheet to use for quizzes and exams. Laminating pouches will allow me to give each student a copy that is durable for the year. Pouches will also get used for student manipulatives. This allows materials to be reused for different classes and multiple years.
STEM education requires interpretation of graphs and mathematical formulas.
Gridded chart paper is an excellent tool for students. Often we can use white boards but sometimes there is more work and it needs to be saved from one day to the next for each class. This paper will allow students to collaborate in groups and save their work for a few days.
