This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I'm requesting for this project, including charging stations for iPads and headphones, will have a profound impact on my students' learning, students who are diagnosed with disabilities that hinder traditional communication methods and require iPads for speech generation. These tools are vital for them as they serve as a means of communication, enabling them to express themselves effectively. Charging stations ensure that these devices are always available, promoting consistent communication and engagement.

My primary goal for this project is to empower these special students to communicate and learn effectively.

With access to iPads and the necessary charging infrastructure, they can participate fully in class discussions, engage in educational apps, and develop essential communication skills.

What makes my students special is their resilience and determination to learn despite the challenges they face. They come from a low-income area where parental support in the evenings may be limited due to various reasons. The requested headphones will provide them with a focused learning environment, helping them overcome overstimulated hearing and concentrate on instructional content. These students have the potential to thrive academically and personally, and providing them with these resources is essential to unlocking their full potential and ensuring equitable access to education.
