My Project

In our Honors Precalculus classroom, students are challenged to think critically, solve complex problems, and explore advanced mathematical concepts that lay the groundwork for future success in STEM fields. We use graphing calculators daily to deepen students' understanding of functions, transformations, and real-world applications. However, managing device readiness has become a growing hurdle—students frequently arrive with dead or uncharged calculators, which hinders their ability to fully participate in class activities.

The primary goal of this project is to create a more efficient, inclusive, and tech-ready learning environment where all students can focus on math—not battery levels.

By having accessible charging options in class, we can maintain consistent momentum in our lessons and provide students with the tools they need to succeed.

To support our learners, we are seeking funding for two graphing calculator charging stations. These stations will ensure that all students have access to charged calculators each day, removing a significant barrier to learning. This reliable access will enhance their engagement, reduce downtime, and promote equity, especially for students who may not have the means to keep devices charged at home.

What makes our students special is their dedication and determination. They’ve chosen to challenge themselves by enrolling in a rigorous honors course, and they show up each day ready to learn and grow. Many of them aspire to pursue careers in engineering, computer science, medicine, and beyond. With your help, we can better support their aspirations and give them the resources they need to thrive.
