This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach fourth grade in a Dual Language ICT Classroom. In an Integrated Co-teaching class (ICT), students with disabilities learn alongside general ed students who don't have learning disabilities or special needs. Because of the pandemic, I am now teaching all students in fourth grade remotely. We have a total of 44 students in fourth grade. Our students work hard and they love to explore and learn.
What happens in our classroom every day is determined by our instructional practice.
If you currently walk into our virtual classroom you will experience whole group and small-group instruction, challenging and text-dependent questions that promote engaging and meaningful discussions, more non-fiction close readings, instructional scaffolding, and extensive writing opportunities.
My Project
Some of my students were given iPads to use in class daily but most of my students have lost or misplaced their chargers. I was blessed with a charging station for my classroom but still lack iPad chargers.
Having the iPad chargers, students can charge their iPads at school daily and not have to worry about keeping up with the chargers.
This way students are ensured to continue the learning that occurs using their iPads.
Having the chargers ready for my students will ensure that they have their technology fully charged and ready to learn!
We also need new adapters to project from our Apple computer to the Smartboard.
In this project I'm also requesting an Elmo Document Camera to project students' work while I'm teaching and ink to continue printing colorful pages. Our color printer is daily used to print out instructional materials, colorful boards, and reinforcement activities. Therefore, the color ink cartridges are running out.
