Orchestra Recording Equipment

Help me give my students the opportunity to become better performers by being able to listen to quality recordings of their performance during classes and concerts.

My Students

At our school, we have an amazing group of students that form our string orchestra! All of the students are eager to learn and grow in their skills with string instruments and music overall. With the current groups we are able to challenge students at all levels from beginners up to mastery level performance!

These students are passionate about music and strongly wish to share that passions first with their community and also the entire world!

They spend countless hours of their personal time working to make this orchestra better and also be sure that it upholds an amazing level of performance. They deserve every bit of time and effort to help them reach their goals.

My Project

This year we have put on plenty of awesome performances but we could use some improvements. One of the main issues we have run into during our concert preparation is being able to actively listen to how we sound collective through proper recording equipment. The simple use a cell phone recorder has helped but the need for better quality is necessary.

Having multiple recording devices placed throughout the orchestra gives us a much higher level of evaluation that can be pin pointed to exact areas of the orchestra and constantly record audio while the director is walking around to make other assessments.

With 70+ members in the orchestra playing at the same time, it can be difficult for one person to hear every single note that comes from each student.

The students hear final recordings of their performances and want to sound better overall. They are aiming to reach new goals and its so hard to tell them no when they are trying to be better at what they love to do.
