This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are open-minded, kind and inquirers! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
Our school is nestled in the heart of the Gulfton area in Houston, Texas. home to the working class, refugees and migrant workers.Due to Covid-19, our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate face-to-face and virtual instruction to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and committed to learning!
My Project
My students are so excited to learn every day, but many are without chargers at home to charge their technology devices. Thus, leaving them unprepared for class.
With your generosity, my students will be able to charge their electronic devices and be successful in class!
We currently only have three chargers in class for 15 face-to-face students. With the charging cables and power adapters, my first and second graders will be able to charge their devices whenever needed and be prepared for class.
We would be ever grateful for the additional charging cables and adapters!
