This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager to learn and carry a Chromebook daily to and from school. They are issued a charger and expected to come to school fully charged and ready to use their Chromebook in ALL classes. Unfortunately, not all families are able to remind their child to get prepared and these are middle school students who's brains are struggling daily through puberty. Also students will loose their chargers or they get stolen by others and their families are unable to purchase one.

We are a Title 1 school, which means our students and families are struggling with poverty, daily life necessities are a constant challenge.

Chargers are not an expense these parents can afford. Also these parents may work multiple jobs and may not be home to remind students to charge their Chromebook.

My plan is to have an extra charger in each class for the teacher to offer when needed and a few in the Counselors office for students to charge first thing in the morning. This would be such a great gift for my students and teachers. I would love for this stress for my students to be eliminated daily.
