My students need Chromebook laptops and a charging station in order to engage in research projects and intervention programs. The laptops will allow for students to access technology and gain beneficial instruction at their independent level.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a diverse elementary school in Philadelphia where 100 percent of the students receive free and reduced lunch. There are approximately 1,000 students and 16 languages spoken. We are a part of a K-5 school in a very diverse area of the city.
My students are eager to learn, share ideas, and engage in collaborative group work.
My students will benefit so greatly from your kindness. Our school has a project-based initiative and a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of all learners.
My Project
The Chromebooks and charging station will allow for more students in my class to access technology. My scholars are progressing through the use of small group instruction and individualized online instruction.
Having more computers would allow for more students to have the opportunity to boost their reading levels, background knowledge through research, and math skills.
My students who are serviced through the ESL Program will also be able to access translation services and programs in their language as they are learning English.
This is such an amazing group of Philadelphia students and we thank you so much for your support!
