My Project

Individual student Chromebooks - while they are a vital part of our daily instruction, they are also frustrating objects for students (and teachers) in the classroom. Students in my classroom rely heavily on their Chromebooks throughout the school day. Projects, Zearn Lessons, assignments, test prep, assessments, and more —these Chromebooks have become an integral part of our classroom environment. However, not a day goes by without one of my students yelling, "My Chromebook is dead!" or "I'm at 2%!"

While we have a charging cart, it is large, bulky, and the cords easily become tangled during dismissal.

This creates problems when my students arrive at school the next day and find their Chromebook is dead because they cannot locate a charging cord in the tangled mess. This device will enable my students to become more independent with our technology routine. It will allow them to easily plug in their Chromebooks to ensure they are charged before use. This will also allow us to eliminate the large, bulky charging cart and have more room for flexible seating.

This is where you come in. My students would love to have Chromebook charging stations that are easy to use, effective, and help save space! Instead of constantly worrying about their Chromebook's battery percentage, they can save their concern for more important things, such as upcoming assignments. We would love your help to make this vision a reality!
