This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is filled with first and second-grade students who have a passion for learning and have beautiful, kind hearts. These students show enthusiasm and curiosity with every new subject matter learned. They ask questions and show interest in why or how something is the way it is. My students are also the type of people we want to see in the world. They are willing to help one another achieve their personal success and show love and compassion to one another. I believe that one day my students will change the world.

My Project

Our class loves STEM learning! We use iPads to help us code robots or creations with LEGOS during our STEM block.

Having an iPad charging station would tremendously help our class keep our STEM learning running at full charge.

As of now, we have to rotate the iPads that we do have so each one can get its chance to charge in the outlet. A charging case would allow for the iPads to stay fully charged throughout the day and provide for a secure location to lock them up when the school day ends.

I believe this charging case would also provide students with the opportunity to practice responsibility. So many of them look forward to using all the STEM materials we have in our classroom, but without a charged iPad, they are unable to use the STEM tools as frequently as they'd like if the iPad does not have enough battery. Students would feel motivated to make sure that they always have the iPads charged and ready to go if they have a place to keep our classroom iPads after a day's work of STEM learning.
