My Students
My classroom is a place to learn and discover new mathematics. My students are from inner city Brooklyn. Some of the students come from high poverty areas and school is a time to use technology that they may not have access to at home. The students are hard workers that want a chance to succeed in school. They are excited to explore the world of mathematics through technology. We are giving our students an opportunity to work with technology in a safe learning environment!
My Project
We have been lucky enough to have had some iPads donated through donors choose. Now we have no place to charge them all. The iPads keep dying and we can only charge two at a time. It is a long waiting process for all the iPads to become fully charged again. The technology has been a great addition to our classroom. It has made my students excited to come to mathematics! The iPads have enhanced my student learning by motivating all students to participate and work towards a goal! A charging station will help the technology function better. Any support would be helpful!
