My Students

I teach in a rural school in Missouri. Our students are some of the most wonderful kids you could ever hope to meet and because we are a fairly small school we are close knit and have a rapport that just amazes me.

When I walk down the halls of this school I see faces that I've watched grow up over the years.

They know me and I know them. This is a huge blessing to me.

These students deserve the same resources that larger schools can provide. They are bright and inquisitive and love to learn!

My Project

I am requesting a charging cart in order to allow daily access to a set of Chromebooks which another teacher and I must share. We do not have a 1 to 1 ratio so we have decided that we will split the set so that technology can be used everyday without any disruption of classroom learning. Our individual classrooms are located in different hallways on the opposite side of our building, which prevents us from simply sharing back and forth.

My students use Chromebooks for online lessons, Nearpod, Peardeck, Google Classroom, creating Google slides, and sometimes just for fun playing Kahoot and other online learning games.

My coworker and I would love to each have our own classroom set of Chromebooks but that isn't viable at this point. This is an alternative which keeps technology in the classroom at all times.
