My Project

I am passionate about providing my students with the most effective reading instruction that is based on the science of reading. In first grade, students are just beginning to understand how to decode and read words, sentences, and eventually, books. When students have access to decodable books, like the Charge into Reading books series, they are more engaged in and excited about reading. The books are filled with colorful illustrations, engaging story lines, and fun characters.

The Charge into Reading series of decodable books are the perfect fit for first graders!

They allow students to practice specific phonics skills, work with decodable words, and practice comprehension skills, too! Students' confidence grows each time they are able to pick up a book and read it independently; Charge into Reading books will allow them to feel that success!

My goal for every student is for them to grow to love reading. Decodable books are an integral part of effective reading instruction. Charge into Reading books will help my first graders become stronger readers for years to come!
