My Students

Some of my students have not yet discovered their inner artist. I want this to be the year that they unlock the magic of art and beautiful work!

I have a class of 20 students who I am lucky enough to be able to loop with next year.

We are an urban Title I "STEAM" school. This is the first year we have added the "A" to "STEAM". The children are eager to learn and share their work with others in a all subject areas.

My Project

I am requesting these materials so my students can display their learning in an artistic way. I would like to put real art supplies in the students' hands for them to share their learning with others. My students need liquid watercolors, drawing supplies and colored pencils for their beautiful work! We have been studying the riparian habitat this year. The children's end product will be some sort of display in which they share their knowledge of a specific animal to that habitat.

With these supplies the children will be able to share their learning in a variety of ways.

I see the children being able to create anything from a custom comic strip to a scientific three panel poster sharing their learning from this year.
