My Project
I am a social worker in an elementary school working with low income students and students with Autism.
I want to get an assortment of books I can read with my students to look at feelings, emotions, and strategies.
I am interested in getting books my students can relate to.
These resources will provide students with the opportunity to learn through stories and apply their learning and strategies we practice to characters and themselves. I will use these resources in one-on-one and small group sessions with students. I plan to use the characters to practice strategies and use examples for my students to apply their learning to before they try it for themselves. These resources, including books, and activities support student's social emotional growth and exploration of big feelings.
