Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Visual and performing arts should be an integral part in a child's education to help expand their imagination and creativity. Our class will be putting on a play for our school. For most of my students, this will be their first time being a part of a school play. Providing students with costumes will help these students get into their character roles. The play, Character Matters, focuses on shaping the right character and encouraging other to be the best versions of themselves.

Through these costumes, students can bring to life the characters in the play that focuses on emphasizing the importance of the golden rule, having courage to do what is right, not judging a book by its cover, patience, forgiveness, responsibility, being role models, being kind and honest, and dealing with bullies.

I want to be able to provide my students with these costumes to help build their confidence and teach students to have fun while portraying such an important message especially as upper grade students and being role models for the primary students. We really appreciate you helping us make this dream come true.
