My Students

The opening song to Full House says, "...reading a good book, or a newspaper page" and our Bay area school needs good books!

We are a kindergarten to eighth grade school located in an urban area in northern California.

My students are mostly eleven, twelve and thirteen year old students who are highly motivated to study and attend college. Our school is a California Distinguished School and our students are always looking for new learning opportunities!

My Project

We are requesting class sets of books, The Glass Castle, Ishi, Frankenstein, The White Mountains and the Lost City of Z. These books will allow each student to follow along as we read aloud in class, partner read and will be a critical resource for my students while they prepare their argumentative writing pieces.

In an era with Ipads, Macbooks and Chromebooks; fostering a passion for reading is crucial.

These books will help pave the road for a lifetime love of reading and will help our students get to college!
