My Project
As my students continue to grow and excel in reading, I am in need of quality chapter books that they can read both for fun and in a book club setting.
My students want to participate in book clubs with each other and talk to each other while deepening their reading skills.
I have been researching chapter books that are in between picture books and full chapter books. I have found two series that compliment one another in Jada Jones and Miles Lewis. These books reflect my students and the experiences they have.
I am requesting one of each in the series to add to my classroom library and one set of six of each of the characters in the series to start book clubs. Within the book clubs, they will use reading strategies and higher level skills to focus on comprehension and vocabulary as a team.
