Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 1st graders love asking questions as well as sharing all the things they have learned. My students are motivated learners who come to school every day, happy to be there.

All of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students make me smile every day, and I care tremendously for my students and their needs. I want them to be equipped with the materials and support they need in order to be college and career ready.

My Project

My 1st graders have found their love for reading and I would like to be able to continue that by providing early chapter books in my classroom library for them. With these early chapter books, my students will be engaged in reading at their own levels. They need beginning chapter books to help build their reading stamina. These books will help with comprehension and fluency skills.

These beginning chapter books are high-interest, highly-engaging, and fun books that my students will be motivated to read!

These books will help to give my students the confidence and stamina necessary for increasing their independent reading levels.

Please help to bring this project to life and provide my students with a variety of beginner's chapter books in order to continue to foster their love for reading!
