Chapter Books for Struggling Readers

My Project

This year I am fortunate enough to be teaching reading interventions for 3rd-6th grade students. These students have a desire to learn to read but struggle with the concepts of reading. They are fantastic students who want to better themselves and their reading ability.

These books would allow the students who are in the older grades be able to read books that look like a "typical" chapter book but at a decodable level for them to understand.

This is key for students to be able to feel confident in their reading ability but not feel embarrassed by books that are meant for younger students.

By providing these types of books for my students, they will build not only their reading skills but also their confidence as a student.
