My 2nd graders are begging for new chapter books and I can't wait to fulfill their requests! I have switched grade levels this year and brought many diverse picture books into our new space. However, our classroom is in dire need of chapter books. My amazing students have requested certain books and we need your help. My class is extremely curious about learning and their love of reading is so enthusiastic and inspiring!
My students BEG for silent reading time and the whole class read aloud time every single day.
Whenever I put the bookmark in our daily read-aloud, the class collectively moans while some yell, "No! Can't we keep reading?" It is so contagious, that I don't want to stop reading either.
I would love to get more chapter books into the hands of my students to encourage their love of reading this year. I hope to expose my students to different genres, especially because that is part of our language arts curriculum.
