it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me spark a love for reading by providing chapter books for novel studies with my higher readers. Chapter books are great for 3rd graders because they help develop reading skills, expand vocabulary, and encourage deeper comprehension. At this age, some children are transitioning from simple picture books to more complex narratives, and chapter books provide the perfect balance of challenge and accessibility. Chapter books allow young readers to follow longer, more intricate plots, which improves their ability to think critically and make connections between ideas. With each chapter, kids learn to recall details, understand character development, and predict what will happen next, which enhances their cognitive skills. The variety of topics in these book will spark curiosity, encourage imagination, and help my students discover new interests, all while making reading both an enjoyable and educational experience.
