My Students
My students are extraordinary! They have a hunger to learn, and with the right tools, nothing can stop them!
These kids are genuine, curious, and deserving! I try to bring new experiences to them through things we do in class. I am always looking for new ideas for us!
I hope that this year we will spend reading and writing together will leave students with a new way to express themselves and a passion for stories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
My Project
Having easy access to the 20 titles from the Texas Bluebonnet list will make it possible to provide wonderful literature and non-fiction to more than 40 5th grade students! Our entire school shares one copy of each title, so it can be very difficult for students to check out any of those books. When students are able to read these amazing books, they become lifelong, avid readers. To be able to put these books in my students' hands is a gift. Students can practice reading skills we have already learned and those that we have yet to cover. Doing that with an exciting, well-written book is so important!
