My Students

¨That is so cool!¨, is often a phrase that I hear my students say when showing them something on a computer. It is often followed with ¨Can we do that too?¨ That is where the excitement dies, as we only have 8-10 Thinkpads in our classroom and it is impossible for us to do any research or projects with limited resources and with computers that have to stay plugged in all the time.

My students are ready to explore the world and take their learning to the next level.

We are apart of a redesign district which focuses on using technology in the classroom. By having chromebooks my students could complete assignments, collaborate on projects, and learn at their own pace. Integrating chromebooks in their lives will not only enrich their learning experience, but prepare them for a world that is becoming more technology driven every year. As a school in a Title 1 district, this may be the only opportunity for some students to experience technology in or out of school.

My Project

Chromebooks keep students actively involved in their learning both independently and with a collaborative group. The students become more in charge of their learning while allowing me to create and expand on different aspects of lessons that could not be reached without technology.

Technology is the future, so why shouldn't we prepare our students in the best way possible, by exposing them to it in the classroom.

Chromebooks will allow the students to enhance their learning in reading, writing, and math. It will allow them to be able to experience knowledge that would be difficult to teach or obtain without technology.
