Changing Positions to Sustain Focus

My Project

I work with gifted learners. These students are often twice exceptional, meaning that in addition to being gifted thinkers and gifted learners, they may also have ADHD, Autism, or other neurodivergencies.

Students with ADHD or Autism often strive to move and fidget in order to focus better.

These chairs seem amazing. It is my dream to have a few of these for students to use when they need to have sustained focus for longer periods. Many times, I offer the option of simply moving to a different seat or a bean bag, but other times, it is necessary to stay at our assigned tables. This seat would make that possible for the truly hyperactive student.

Students would be able to sign up for these chairs when they had a high-focus task to complete, like a high-stakes test or a longer project. I think this would be a great option for neurodivergent learners.
