By providing my students with access to a Toshiba laptop, they will have an opportunity to research and learn with current technology.
My 4th grade students are excited to learn about the world that they can not see.
They are passionate about the people of the past and applying those lessons to their lives and future. Right now they are researching how people use words to move others to make a difference in the world around them. They would love a chance to dig deeper into the lives of people who changed the world. Our school resides in a low income community with limited access to technology. My students qualify for free lunch are a second language learners. The opportunity to interact with information in multiple ways will aid students in understanding what they read.
The two computers in the classroom have limited access to the Internet due to the age of the computers. Students would love a chance to interact with information presented on many websites. My students would have an opportunity to learn to use technology to learn more about their own areas of interest. My students will also have the opportunity to engage with the content on websites that will help with their reading, math, and science. My students will also learn how to word process their writing, a useful skill for school and life.
Your donation will help provide my students with a Toshiba laptop that will allow them to learn to use technology as a tool to expand their knowledge and develop skills necessary for success in today's world.
