They run in the rain, snow, sunshine and any other weather New York City throws at them! The only problem is, they run without uniforms! The Road Runner team at IS 30 in Bayridge, Brooklyn are true champions, and proudly compete with the New York City Road Runners Foundation in the middle school division. In fact, they have many championship titles under their belts. The IS 30 Wildcats have been showcased on WNBC channel 4 in NYC and several members of the team are featured in the February issue of Runner's World magazine! They are some of the most enthusiastic, eager and talented runners I have ever had the opportunity to coach! They practice and compete week after week, month after month wearing only the royal blue t-shirts provided to them by our school. Although they wear them with pride they would love to be able to show off their colors with "real uniforms"! It would be a thrill for them to be able to enter a track meet or race with matching uniforms so all could see IS 30 has arrived! Anyone that would be willing to help us would definitely have the best group of 6th, 7th and 8th grade student athletes representing them. Our team has 40 members and we would appreciate any help in this matter.
