Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach an enthusiastic class of three year-old children who love learning! They come to school each day full of wonderment! My hope is that my students become lifelong learners who have an authentic passion for knowledge and that they feel confident and empowered in their own learning.

Our public prekindergarten program is specifically designed and funded for children who are at risk.

My students live in a high poverty and transient military area, in which 100% receive free lunch.

My Project

A multipurpose activity table will allow me to change activities each month to spark the interests of my young scholars. They will be challenged in thinking skills, problem solving and cooperative learning.

With this special table, my young scholars will work with legos, a wooden train set, a marble run, puzzles, a farm with play animals, vehicles and safety signs, dinosaurs and more!

They will work cooperatively together while exploring different materials each month. Learning should be interesting, fun and meaningful.

My scholars will love this new table and the variety of activities it makes possible for them to enjoy.
