My Project
Imagine a classroom where students have the freedom to choose how they learn best—whether it’s at a standing desk, on a wobble stool, or seated comfortably on the floor with a lap desk. That’s the kind of learning environment I’m working to create.
My first grade students are bright, creative, and full of energy.
They thrive when given opportunities to move, collaborate, and make choices about how they engage with their learning. Traditional desks and chairs can limit that. With your support, I can provide a variety of flexible seating options that empower students to take ownership of their learning space and stay focused, comfortable, and motivated throughout the day.
The items on this list—comfy chairs, floor cushions, stools, and more—will help transform our classroom into a dynamic environment where students feel supported, both academically and emotionally. Research shows that flexible seating improves focus, encourages collaboration, and promotes a sense of autonomy.
