The students have been especially fascinated by the rain barrel and have been eagerly asking questions about how it collects, stores, and conserves water. The trellis has also become a daily check-in spot—our plants have already started growing, and the class loves observing the small changes each day.\r\nThey were so excited! Many of them rushed over to explore the rain barrel and trellis right away. Their curiosity kicked in immediately—they wanted to know how everything worked, why we use these tools, and what we would be planting next. \r\nNext, we're preparing to stratify a variety of seeds in milk jugs over the winter as part of our upcoming \"winter sowing\" project. The students will learn how certain seeds need cold weather to germinate, and they'll get hands-on experience designing and preparing their own mini greenhouses. Once spring arrives, these seedlings will be transplanted into our garden and into the new additions to our classroom space.","fullyFundedDate":1756425161953,"projectUrl":"project/eagles-nature-nest/9648661/","projectTitle":"Eagle’s Nature Nest","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Theis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10222607_orig.png?crop=295,295,x0,y173&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756178071046","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10222607"},{"teacherId":9739195,"projectId":9641815,"letterContent":"The impact your gift has brought to my students will never be forgotten. It gives us a chance to pause, connect, and share conversations that might not have happened otherwise. Our number one item we use the most is the binders. I had several friends from each class not have a binder. Thanks to your donations, each student was able to have the supplies they needed. Our coloring materials are not top tier, as you can see in the binders from you, they colored amazing covers, thanks to you. In addition, we have a calming classroom environment thanks to your donations towards the diffuser and essential oils! \r\nIn our classroom, I celebrate great individual behavior with students getting to place their names on our WOW board. Each morning, we draw a winner, and thanks to your donation of the Expo spray, we can start fresh each week with a really clean board!! \r\nSome of these items may seem little, but they make a huge difference to me and an even bigger impact on my students, here in Belleville. Also they are using their imagination while playing with it. \r\n\r\nFor example, the other day in social studies we were learning about the 3 branches of government. One student made a \"castle\" and said Mrs. Todd this looks like the U.S. Capitol. The regular sand they could create and build things without getting it wet. \r\n\r\nMy goal is to get more sand in our sand table for students to explore and use their imagination with their peers.
