This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a 4/5 loop, that means I start with my class in fourth and keep them through 5th grade.

My students come in all shapes and sizes.

Within the two years I will have them, the chairs do not adjust with them. Our desks are adjustable but not the chairs.

My children sit in uncomfortable chairs when their feet do not touch the floor, or the chairs are too short. My students need and deserve the right to sit in something that their legs touch the ground.

My Project

My students need adjustable chairs that grow with them, since I have them for 2 years. When you're uncomfortable because of seating your main focus is on the discomfort not learning. Dangling and swinging of legs is disruptive to others. A chair that is too small is also uncomfortable. My students need every advantage to have a quality education without being uncomfortable.

Due to the fact they will be in the same classroom for two years and the same chairs, my students need comfortable seating that will grow with them.

These chairs will adjust as my students grow. At the beginning of the year I can adjust the chair to each student and when they grow I can raise the height for that child.
