I work at an elementary school in Minnesota. This is my third year teaching third grade . I moved to third grade after teaching kindergarten for many years. My students are wonderful. They have really come together to make a great classroom community. They are hard workers, kind, helpful, thoughtful and engaged in learning.
There are many different abilities in the classroom.
I work hard to meet the needs of all of my learners. My students come from different economic backgrounds.
We have been learning about mindfulness this school year and I have really been impressed with how my students are accepting of one another and willing to help each other out. It really feels like a great classroom community that we've created.
In our classroom we utilize every square inch. Students love to spread out and have a place to work on the floor. These chairs would provide a comfy and creative way for my students to collaborate with each other.
I can picture my students reading in these chairs and playing math games in the chairs and moving them around the room when we are working with small groups and partners.
These chairs would be used on a daily basis and a variety of ways. This project would give my students some choice with where they want to sit and how they best learn and concentrate.
