My Project
It is that time of year where teachers start reflecting on items that need to be replenished or replaced before the next school year. Looking back through this school year, I have one item that is in desperate need in being replaced- our classroom chairs!
Classroom seating is vital to students engaging in the classroom.
With that said, it is very important that all components in a student chair are considered. When I wrote a previous grant years ago for classroom seating, one thing I did not consider is having chairs with no fabric. Although the fabric adds the comfort factor, it does not lend well to the hygiene factor. It never occurred to me how that things such as body odor and head lice would make having fabric chairs an issue.
The goal of this project is to do an overhaul to replace my classroom seating. I want to offer comfort and clean chairs to my students. I need student seating to be something that can easily wiped down. Please help give our students a comfortable seat that is also hygiene and cleaning-friendly.
