Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are sitting in the most uncomfortable chairs possible. They deserve better. Just the other day, a student with special needs asked to walk around the school because he'd been sitting all day. When I asked if it was the chair, he confirmed it was.
To encourage my students to think differently, I believe they need to sit differently.
How often do you find yourself constantly adjusting in your chair, thinking, "There has to be a better way?"
I am requesting a generous donation for two innovative seating options in my classroom. The first is a wobble chair. These chairs allow my students the freedom to move and focus, which is particularly beneficial for students with disabilities. I am also asking for a beanbag chair to provide sensory input in our calming corner.
