I teach special needs students who are amazing to work with and really appreciate being taught and strive to learn. Though most of them come from low income families, they relish the importance of an education. The majority of my students have autism and have struggled to adapt to changes in our school due to Hurricane Ida.
Due to Hurricane Ida, many of my students do not have access to typical classroom accessories. These products will help my students adapt back to a normal school setting. It will also provide them with some things that they still or not being provided for at home, such as supplies. Some of these items will assist my students with organizational skills also. Many of my students have autism, are uncomfortable in heavily populated settings, and spend lunch in my class. The microwave/refrigerator will allow them to prepare foods they bring in.
