Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
CMS is a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free or reduced breakfasts and lunches. Our students were impacted socially and academically by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as their families, and helping them gain financial literacy can help support their future! They are encouraged to take initiative of their learning through classroom jobs where they are able to interact and build on their social skills. They will also gain budgeting skills to help them pay "bills", shop in our class store by buying snacks, and maintain a stable financial understanding.
