Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves a high number of socially and economically disadvantaged students. Most of my students qualify for free lunch in school. My fifth-grade class is very diverse in their academics. They range from far below basic to advanced levels. Some are students with special needs and accommodations and others are students who need enrichment. Some are English language learners while others are fluent in the English language. But they are all eager for an education; however, the lack of resources prevents them from getting motivated and truly showcasing their talents.

Many of my students have a variety of hardships at home, but at school, I try to make it a positive place where they can grow, learn, and be successful.

They come to school with big dreams, and I want to provide the best learning environment for them.

My Project

Students need to be praised and acknowledged for their hard work in school. They need to know that they are amazing scholars that possess endless talents. When they demonstrate academic excellence, they should be rewarded.

Celebrating student's success motivates learning.

By recognizing students with a certificate in the academic area they show strength in, I hope to encourage them to continue thriving and keep them motivated in school. The certificates earned will be given after demonstrating exemplary work in the areas of Science, Mathematics, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Art, and Most Improved. I have also requested printer ink cartridges for our classroom printer. Your kind generosity will help me support my students.
