This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Breakfast helps to get the body moving and the brain activated. We have a couple of months left in school and our classroom supply of breakfast foods has run out. I still get fruit from the cafeteria for my children, but cereal and breakfast bars help to add those carbohydrates and proteins to their diet. My students are working hard to get to school on time, but a third of them just aren't quite getting to school in time for the school breakfast. No one should start their day hungry. To help my students get a great start to their day, I would love to refill our classroom breakfast station so they will not be hungry.
Cereal and breakfast bars help to fill our stomachs so that our bodies and brains are ready to learn.
My students are trying their best, but they cannot drive themselves to school. They do not shop for themselves. I want to provide them with the comfort and security of knowing that they will always have something to eat when they are at school and in our classroom. Thank you for helping me to feed my students bodies so that I can feed their minds.
