My Project

We go through quite a few tools in the ceramics classroom. Over 300 students a year take ceramics classes at various levels so our tools take a beating all day everyday! We are so excited to have such an interested student body in the art of ceramics, however, sometimes the budget doesn't allow for tool refreshes and often we have to get creative using non traditional ceramic tools. Refreshing the tools and providing students with real ceramic tools helps them feel more valued as ceramic artists. Students often appreciate and take care of the tools when they see that they are specific pottery tools.
