This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from various backgrounds and are from low income families. My students are diverse learners with diverse learning needs. The majority of my students are multi-sensory learners. They learn best when materials are colorful and easily accessible.
My students love having the materials in a central location that they can access on their own.
It is important that they do things on their own as they work on independence. This allows them to take ownership and develop their independent functioning skills.
My Project
This project allows the students to readily find items that they may need for specific lessons. It is important that the students be able to access the materials on their own as they work on their independent functioning skills within the classroom.
The all-purpose teaching cart, supply caddies, and book bins will aid the students as they gather their materials on their own to do independent work for different lessons throughout the class period.
As their teacher, I want to be able to provide them the skills and knowledge to work on their own by gathering their own materials for any lesson.
