This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach second grade at a Title I school in Northern Nevada. Our students are in desperate need of engaging learning tools. I plan to use games and centers during our reading and math time to assist students in their learning. In addition, these tools can be used as math manipulatives for struggling learners.

The classroom is a vivacious and active learning environment.

I have 25 very active students, of which 16 are boys. I pride myself on keeping a high-energy energy fun classroom. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a class this size, and I am struggling to get centers going. These materials will help me to be able to design more centers to engage the kiddos.
