Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of first-grade English language learners who come to school every day with so much energy, curiosity, and a strong desire to grow. Many of them are learning to read and speak English at the same time, which makes hands-on, engaging activities even more important. They thrive when they can move, explore, and learn through play and repetition.

The materials in this project will help me create purposeful reading and math centers that students can use independently while I work with small groups.

From phonics games to math manipulatives and puzzles, each resource is chosen to target foundational skills in fun, meaningful ways. These tools will support vocabulary development, build number sense, and reinforce concepts we've practiced together.
