My Students

The students at our school are welcoming of new challenges and discoveries. Our school is a small neighborhood school with close ties with our community. Our students are a mildly diverse group of children that celebrate differences. Our students embrace new district initiatives with open minds and creativity. Students at our school are eager to learn and apply their knowledge to their own lives. I want to continue to challenge my students to try their best and strive for excellence.

My Project

My students have a wide range of learning styles and learning levels. It is my job to make sure they are learning at their instructional level rather than frustrational or independent level. These centers will allow me to challenge those students who need to be enriched, but it also allows me to intervene with students that need a little more work in certain areas of the curriculum. For example, the Fluency Centers will allow students to increase their fluency rate and accuracy at their just right reading level. The Number Talk Daily Activities will give students the opportunity work with numbers at different levels of understanding. With your help, every student in my classroom can be reached at their level and sometimes that can make a huge difference in a student’s life.
