Kindergarteners enjoy moving around from center to center while working in small groups. The focus of these centers is to make them so fun that students stay engaged and willing to stay at a center long enough to learn all objectives.
In kindergarten, it is essential to offer engaging activities, meaningful manipulatives, and flexible seating.
The complete set of Language Instant Learning Centers are used in small groups of 4 so that each student has their own materials. They are a great asset to teaching phonics and phonemic awareness. The alphabet stickers, word magnet boards, magnetic letters, the nameplate sleeves and catch a letter game will all be used in small groups with the teacher and or partner to reinforce phonemic awareness skills.
The store-it-all caddies and multicolor baskets are to be used day in and day out to keep center essentials at hand for students.
The soft seats and the Best Buy tote bags will be used in our library center. The seat will offer students flexible seating opportunities. The tote bags are for children to keep the books they are reading in one spot so that they can get right to partner reading when it is their turn.
The photo nameplates are used for students to practice reading and writing their names as well as identifying letters in their classmates' names. The nameplates travel with each student during center time and one set is displayed on the board for easy access for all.
Our students will enjoy these engaging and colorful materials. Kindergarteners enjoy working with manipulatives. Centers using worksheets like this are more effective for learning than using worksheets.
These products will help students stay engaged, whether fishing for letters, identifying letters on the water table, or reading with their classmates from their own book bags.
