This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all very passionate about learning. From my highest to my lowest, they all love coming to school and learning new things.

The district can't possibly provide every needed or wanted material to every teacher at every school, but our students still need some vital supplies to get the most out of their school experience.

I am a fairly new teacher, so I will take (and greatly appreciate) any help I can get!

For most students, school time is the most stable time of the day. At home, students don't always have access to computers, art supplies, books, etc. Providing these simple things to my students will help them to get the most out of their school day. I want to be able to provide them with materials, instruction, and opportunities that they can't receive outside of the classroom.

My Project

Math and Science are a HUGE part of our 5th-grade day! We learn about decimals, fractions, the solar system, and so much more!

Hands-on activities are crucial to learning and understanding!

Of course, they're fun, but they are also meaningful and memorable! We use math centers almost every day. Stations where students can play math games, use technology, and get extra help from myself and their peers. In science, I love to incorporate an experiment or lab within every unit! Students can show what they know, apply their new knowledge and skills, and have fun!

This project will refill my math and science bins! New chart and graph paper is great for modeling. Dry-erase markers make math centers and math games a breeze! The science magazines will help us incorporate reading and writing skills into science!
