Help me give my students some new games and activities for Center Time! This project includes a variety of matching puzzles! They will help students match numbers to the number of items, addition, rhyming words, and cvc words.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is going to be my first year teaching Kindergarten! I am looping up with my Pre-K students who are so full of joy, love learning and exploring new things. Center time in Pre-K was their absolute favorite time of the day! My goal is to continue those centers in Kindergarten because they are necessary!
I believe purposeful play with these games and activities during center time will help improve their reading and math skills.
These activities can help my students build their number sense, learn to form and read words, as well as, learn about rhyming words. The alphabet puzzles will be great for recognizing words that begin with that letters and the ice cream pops will help build math fluency. Students will building literacy skills through the use of letter magna tiles, alphabet locks and the find the letter activity. The sand timer will be used to time centers so students have opportunities to visit a variety of centers each day. The laminating sheets will also be used to create more center games through online print outs!
