Help me give my students class read alouds that center around Black History Month coming up, lamination that will be used for centers, and headphones for students to use during rotations in class!
My classroom is full of energetic 2nd graders. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. They are amazing kids and truly are my inspiration!
My school is located in a high poverty area and is not able to provide students with all the supplies they need in order to succeed..
My second-grade students from the West-Side of Chicago are thoughtful, creative, and deserve a safe and comfortable space to learn in! They are eager to learn and love being back in school where they can have hands on learning games and experiences. I have looped with my students and now I am teaching them in 2nd grade as well! With this change, I have needed to create all new centers and materials to meet 2nd grade learning standards. I am in need of materials to help create differentiated centers, to meet individual student needs.
My Project
These materials will help my students in various ways. We will use these read alouds during Black History Month and for students to read on their own as well. In addition, I am trying to provide all resources that students need to be successful in center time, and so that I can help provide activities and lessons that meet individual student goals. I laminate each center game due to limited colored printing, and to save these materials for years to come!
